Interior painting
Whether you are refreshing one room or updating several areas, describe the walls, ceilings and trim you want painted. Existing damage, stains and previous finishes can affect preparation. Discuss furniture, occupied rooms and access before the work is scheduled.
Exterior painting
Exterior surfaces face weather and changing moisture conditions. Share which siding, trim or other surfaces need attention and any areas with peeling paint or visible damage. The estimate should explain preparation, the paint system and the areas included, with the schedule subject to suitable conditions.
Preparation and finish details
A clear painting scope identifies surface repairs, protection for surrounding areas, colors and the finish being used. Cabinet painting or staining needs its own discussion because surface preparation and materials differ from standard wall painting. Ask for those items to be listed explicitly if needed.
Questions about this service
Can painting be included with drywall work?
Yes. Tell us about the wall repairs and the painting together so both can be considered in the estimate.
Should I buy the paint first?
Discuss the surface, product and quantity before purchasing. The approved estimate should clarify who supplies materials.
